Adult Christian Education

Every Sunday // 9:15 a.m. // Extraordinary Ventures (our church’s meeting place)

We envision God transforming us into the likeness of the risen Lord Jesus by his Word and Spirit so that we (and our children) grow to see as he sees and love as he loves. Adults learn not just by hearing, but by conversing and applying biblical truths with trusted friends. So we are excited to introduce “Discipleship Cohorts” in the Fall of 2019. These smaller, targeted learning communities will allow for more discipleship options, conversation and application at a convenient hour each week.

Imagine the impact we could have on Chapel Hill if we were all debt-free! Marriages and families would be strengthened. People would be freed up to be outrageously generous. This kind of hope will ignite change in our entire community! Click here to register for Financial Peace University, Sundays at 9:15A.M. Class will be held at the Howell Building: 1526 E. Franklin Street, 2nd Floor. Childcare will still be at Extraordinary Ventures.

This cohort is designed to help equip the next generation of male and female CCC leaders for effective ministry in the context of the body of Christ. This includes team leads, elders, deacons, community group leaders and others. We will discuss the theological foundations that bring critical unity to our leadership and what roles officers and other leaders have within the church. We will also spend time discussing the mission and vision of the church, what the point of leadership in the church is and what is distinct about leading in a church context.

You know how anxiety and fear feels, your stomach drops, your neck tightens, your whole body tenses, but do you know what to do when anxiety fills your days and troubles your nights? You’ve probably already tried a few strategies, like denial or working harder, and noticed that they aren’t a permanent solution. If you are tired of dealing with anxiety and worry on your own, then this cohort is just for you. It is suitable for teenagers, young adults, and adults who want to learn how to replace fear and worry with trust in God. It has been used effectively in individual discipling/counseling relationships and in churches and ministries as a small group study.
