College Students

As a community church planted in Chapel Hill, we are strategically located to serve college students. Our focus is to love, encourage and provide a real sense of belonging to any college student who chooses to visit Christ Community Church (CCC). For those wanting to visit, we'd love to give you a ride to make things easier.

How does CCC serve its busy students? Through three guiding themes:

Loving

Members at CCC connect with students by praying for them, encouraging them, and, of course, feeding them.

Encouraging

Whether working in the nursery, teaching a youth Sunday School class, joining a community group, playing an instrument or singing with the worship team, or becoming a College Ministry Team member, we encourage students to use their gifts and talents for the glory of God.

Belonging

We invite college students to join us in the adult Sunday School class, make friends with families and talk with church members about the tough questions surrounding Jesus and the Christian faith. For students who do believe in Jesus, we invite them to join as associate members (check out Discover CCC!) while retaining their home church membership, so they can receive pastoral care while they are at school.

College Lunches

The most popular activity organized by our college team is the (at least) monthly college lunch! Nothing attracts the beleaguered student more than a free meal. For every event, a CCC family opens their home for an hour or two after church for a meal and fellowship. It’s a great way to get connected to the CCC members outside of Sunday morning worship.

GRADUATES AND PROFESSIONALS

Welcome to the CCC Graduate Student and Young Professional's Ministry. (That’s a mouthful!) Our goal through this ministry is to be a point of connection to the life of CCC for graduate students and young professionals. In our transient community, we know that the most movement in and out of the church is in our young adult population. We want to get our Grads and Professionals plugged in wisely and well.

This time of life is the time for an adult to take control of their own spiritual growth – to pursue opportunities that will lead to a deeper relationship with Christ. The Grad and Professional Ministry wants to introduce you to those opportunities.  We would like to see every graduate student and young professional become a member of a CCC Community Group.  Join us to see first-hand how vibrant community can develop through fellowship and relationship.

The members of the Grad and Professional Team will plan hang-outs (usually with food included!) Check the bulletin and sign up for our listserv to get the latest information about those gatherings. Contact our admin to get on the listserve!
