In the gospel of Luke, Jesus instructs his followers to “Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful”. Jesus' own ministry was one of both teaching and showing mercy to the poor and hurting. At CCC we want our mercy ministries to be rooted in the character and nature of our Heavenly Father, vividly displayed in Jesus Christ.
We partner with local mercy ministries and non-profits such as PSS and World Relief to Justice Matters. Because we do not own a building, our mercy efforts tend to be the result of our members engaging directly with the local community: taking a meal to a needy neighbor, serving on a local non-profit board, helping refugees resettle.
Join with us as we seek to be God’s hands and feet as ministers of his mercy.
GriefShare Recovery Support Group
GriefShare is a Christ-centered weekly seminar/support group for people grieving the death of someone close, whether your loss is recent or even many years ago. It’s a place where you can be around people who understand how you feel and the pain of your loss. At GriefShare, you’ll learn valuable information that will help you through this difficult time in your life. Here’s what you will experience during the 13-week program. Each week you will:
- Watch an information-packed 40 minute video featuring leading grief recovery experts
- Participate (as you are able) in a small group discussion about the video
- Complete workbook exercises and personal study exercises that reinforce the weekly session topics
Christ Community Church of Chapel Hill will offer GriefShare at the Seymour Center beginning November 18, 2014. The GriefShare group will meet every Tuesday, 6:30pm to 8:30pm through February 2015. The cost is $25 which includes the workbook. For more information, contact Rik Gervais, Christ Community Church at 919-619-9861 or email@example.com.
