Take Me Out to the Ballgame! CCC is going to the ballpark. Please plan to join us on Sunday, Jun 2, at 5:05 p.m., as we head to Durham Bulls Athletic Park. It's Kid's Night (anyone who stays for the whole game gets to run the bases after the game) and it's State Fair Night (featuring a petting zoo and special food). Tickets are $12/ea. for adults and children 4 and up. (Under 4 are FREE!). 40 seats reserved.

Roller Derby Which roller sport was recently under consideration for the 2020 Summer Olympics? ROLLER DERBY! Beat the heat and head indoors on Saturday, June 22, to watch the Carolina Roller Derby athletes in action. This is a family-friendly contact sport played by two teams of five members roller skating counter-clockwise around a track. Check out marvelous displays of athleticism tinged with punk and camp elements you just won't see in pro sports. Learn what it means to Skate Fast, Hit Hard, Get Low, alongside fellow CCC brothers and sisters.

Adults just $10/each; kids 6–12 $15; 5 and under FREE. (You can pay Amanda Miller in advance or the day of). Bout location: XL Sports World, 1016 Investment Blvd, Apex, NC 27502.

Men’s Backyard Bar-B-Que Guys, this is for you. Smoked meat and corn hole—and bring a friend. At the Peters’ home (304 Old Piedmont Circle, Chapel Hill) on July 13. Eat at 5:30, come anytime after 2:00 p.m. to enjoy hanging out, catching up, and watching the meat smoke. BYOB.

Fridays on the Front Porch  Join us Friday, July 26th 5-7p at the Carolina Inn for live bluegrass music to kick off the weekend! The Inn offers its Tiny Vittles menu and plenty of comfortable seating under the shady oaks and magnolias on the Inn's front lawn (bring a picnic blanket or lawn chair). There is no cover charge for the event. More details to come about parking and where to meet.

Freezer Meal Party  Women Only: Come and make 3/4 prepped meals that you can stick in your freezer to have on hand for those nights things just don’t go as planned. Meet at Ruby Bea Peters’ house, August 6 at 7pm. Sign-up details TBA.
