Hope Counseling Services Launch

A little over a year ago, we launched our "Growing Our Vision" campaign. As a congregation, we prayed every day our 6TEN prayers at 6:10 AM or PM, motivated by Matthew 6:10, that the Lord would bring together our church's dream.

That dream was a realization of a goal set from CCC's founding: to create a local, Chapel Hill-based counseling center to help those in need in our community. And so we prayed.

And God answered.

On November 3-4, Hope Counseling Services will officially launch with an event we are incredibly excited to announce:

Free from the Shadows of Shame
As a strategic arm of our church, Hope Counseling Services will host a special mini-conference, featuring Ed Welch from the Christian Counseling & Educational Foundation (CCEF). With over 35 years of teaching and counseling experience, Dr. Welch will help us understand how Jesus not only frees us from the shadows of shame, but also equips us to walk alongside and help others experience the same. Please join us and invite your friends as we introduce Hope Counseling Services to our community! For more information and to register, visit www.hopechapelhill.org/events

We believe that HCS and CCC can be used by God for this town, for this community, for UNC, and for the world. If you are unfamiliar with us, please join us at this conference and learn who we are and what we do! If you're a part of our family already, please come and invite your friends.

Reformation Day

This day, 500 years ago, is generally considering to be the start of the Protestant Reformation. Although the wheels of history were already turning, it was on this momentous day that Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses to the church door in Wittenburg, thus beginning his long battle to reform the church.

Much of what we believe as a church, we owe to him and the reformers who came after him. The Lord used His people to turn away from the powers of the Earth to return to the Scriptures themselves. All of Protestantism can be traced back to this moment in history.
