Women's Ministry

“Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.” I Thessalonians 2:8

Our Women's Ministry is simply and profoundly women encouraging women. Our mission is to glorify God by helping women connect the riches of Christ to the realities of our lives. As we serve a faithful God, we rejoice with one another. When we face trials and temptations, we stand with one another. As we have opportunity, we perform deeds of mercy with one another. We believe that the Gospel will shine forth brightly as we seek to know and love one another in Christ.

Women's Retreat

One of the most exciting and popular programs in our Women's Ministry is our biennial retreat. It's an incredible event, geared towards connecting with each other as we worship, eat, play, and study together. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet new friends and spend time with old ones, all while enjoying the beauty of God's creation.

In Spring 2017, we are excited to have Rose Chin lead us in exploring God's promises in a series called "Live Fully Convinced... Because God Fully Keeps All His Promises". We know that God made many promises in His Word. But can we really take His promises seriously? Come to the retreat to discover anew how real God's promises, faithfulness, and truths are and how huge His grace is. Invite the Spirit to make His promises real in your life and return home with a fresh courage that you can fearlessly live a promise-driven life in a broken-down, fear-filled world. Rose Chin is a Bible study leader, writer, and speaker, who has led women in studying God's Word for the last 30 years. Her passion is to see women well-grounded in God's truth and love and live them out victoriously in their lives.

All women are invited for every retreat, including friends! Costs include registration, food, and lodging. Childcare not provided. Breastfeeding mothers are welcome to bring infants. Please do not allow financial concerns to keep you from participating. Contact us with questions regarding financial aid.

DELIGHT is one way in which the CCC Women’s Ministry seeks to make 1 Thessalonians 2:8 a reality. We’ve designed DELIGHT to foster “life-on-life” experiences for women, giving them opportunities to interact and share gifts, stories, and interests. Our hope is that these events will help us know each other better, serve our community, and welcome new people into our church family. DELIGHT events are open to women of all ages and stages! So please plan to come and bring a friend.

Do you have talents, passions, or favorite places and things that you would like to share with other women? If you have an idea for a DELIGHT event, please contact Sherwin Ting.

Pregnancy Support Services Partnership

As part of our mercy ministry, the women of Christ Community Church have developed a partnership with Pregnancy Support Services of Chapel Hill and Durham.

What is Pregnancy Support Services?

Pregnancy Support Services is a pregnancy care ministry serving Durham and Chapel Hill. It is an interdenominational Christian ministry and receives no public funds of any kind. The ministry is entirely dependent on local individuals and churches for their resources. All services offered by PSS are provided free of charge to anyone needing these services. PSS provides pregnancy tests, limited ultrasound services, peer counseling, parenting education workshops, post- abortion support, college campus outreach and sexual integrity presentations in the Durham/Chapel Hill area. In addition, they provide practical support in the form of layette items, baby equipment and maternity clothing for pregnant clients. Each client also receives informative brochures, pamphlets, books and/or Bibles as needed.

Counseling and Mentoring

The CCC Women’s Ministry often bridges the gap for women in the church, connecting them to people and resources when needed. In the past, the Women’s Ministry and Counseling Ministry have teamed up to offer topic-specific studies like “Sex: Redeemed” to see what the Bible has to say for those women struggling with sexual sin and/or past sexual trauma. If you have ideas for ways the Women’s Ministry Team can help connect the riches of Christ to the realities of life for women in our church, let us know. Contact our Counseling Ministry with comments and questions or if you need a counseling or mentoring referral within CCC.
