Disaster relief resources

Western NC

The following are relief efforts in Western NC that are close to the heart and congregation of CCC.
The PCA's Mission to North America (MNA)
This is primarily a way to help financially.  Click here for details on the current efforts being undertaken by MNA's disaster response arm and how financial contributions will help to "transport mission critical supplies and equipment to support PCA congregations, to provide staff support to congregations affected, to meet insurance deductibles, to purchase relief supplies, etc.".
Appalachian State RUF
Grace Robertson, a UNC student currently attending CCC has a connection to the Appalachian State RUF ministry and the work they are currently undertaking.  Current asks are any donations of equipment such as shovels, gloves, other tools, and time and labor.  Grace is also planning on a trip to Boone the weekend of October 12 to help with recovery activities.  Please contact Grace.
Fellowship Presbyterian Church, Newland, NC
The pastor of Fellowship Presbyterian Church in Newland, NC and his wife, both former UNC students and CCC attendees, had 3 inches of water in their parsonage and six inches of mud in their church. The church, like so many others, did not have flood insurance. Teams are being mobilized to help. If you would like to donate to this effort, please let one of the deacons know, as we are still gathering information on how to help in a specific way with this need.
